The venerated contemporary ink painting artist Ren Zhong collaborates with ACDS to create a series of unique-edition boxes that celebrate a diverse collection of artistic lineages and aesthetics. Drawing inspiration from historic masters to contemporary pioneers, this series explores the unique beauty that is the fusion of Eastern and Western artistic practices. Defying the traditional boundary between fine art and functional decorative art, this series presents an unrivalled visual experience. 

The paintings presented in this series feature classic Chinese imageries of flora and fauna – landscapes, figures and snow bamboo which have come to define Ren Zhong’s oeuvre. Meticulously designed and handcrafted by Adrian Choi, each inlaid box is designed for a specific painting. Choi’s signature design language of raw material adorns each box-frame echoing Ren Zhong’s subject matter, brushwork and palette. All elements work in concert to form an Art Deco and architectural style that is splendidly timeless.
